A faint image of Lake Bozman was photoshopped in the Thompson’s family wedding photo.
Not even in death are they parted.
Anna Bozman Thompson of Atlanta, lost her son Lake to leukemia in May, just weeks before his ninth birthday. Last month, Thompson married her longtime boyfriend, but knew the ceremony was incomplete without Lake.
Her friend and photographer, Brandy Angel, made special edits to the family’s wedding photos in order to include a faint version of Lake — appearing almost ghostlike in the images.

A spot of light followed the family in the wedding photos. Anna Bozman Thompson said it was her son Lake who passed away in May.
Thompson shared the touching image to the “Prayers for Lake Bozman” Facebook page on Sunday gathering more than 2,000 likes and 200 comments filled with love and prayers.
“Somehow I have managed to continue going but there have been many days that I did not think I could,” she wrote.
Angel met the family through the “Be the Change – Brandy Angel Foundation” — her own non-profit that takes photos of families with children who have incurable cancers, such as Lake’s.

Anna Bozman Thompson kisses her other son on her wedding day in Colbert, Georgia.
She told the Daily News that Thompson was very specific about how she wanted the photo and Angel and photographer Paul Woodward made it happen.
In the photo, a light appears beside Thompson in the field that never changed shape or color.
“It’s unreal,” Angel said.
When Angel told Thompson about the appearance of that light she said, “I told you my baby would show up.”
The wedding photos caused much anxiety for Thompson, who had never taken family photos without Lake before.
“I could feel my emotions taking over after the ceremony when it was time to take pictures,” she wrote.
But featuring Lake in the photos brought the family together again.
“I needed this picture more than she or anyone could ever know,” Thompson said. “THIS is my family.”
